There is just enough room to put an OFNA failsafe to the right of the receiver position, behind the throttle servo where the receiver used to hang out at.
You can mount it on the chassis then.

I would mount it using a couple of pieces of double sided tape to cushion it from the vibration though if you go ahead with this idea.

Those things don't like too much vibration!

......Spektrum and rubber bands on the carb slide........a fail safe will only work with battery power........so, if you lose battery power (like i did in my 960 at full song) you still get all smashed up.......

just wrap a rubber band around the carburater slide to rightwhere the airfilter slides on and you have your self a return spring never rely on fail safe

Get the new one from Team Magic. Raceday Hobbies has them. Here's the part no:

114061 - 6V-1100 mah Ni-MH Lightweight Special Size Pack For G4s/Lemans

Some failsafe's will work on low battery power aswell as signal. You need to check them out. But as the guys say. Use the "return spring/ band around the carb slide...........just don't make it too strong as it will "suck more juice" from your battery (RX) pack !

Or kill the throttle servo.....

You can only use a throttle return spring, when the servo turns really "light", if your servo's turns a bit heavy, don't put on a stronger spring, cause it might kill the servo.....

Those small hair bands for little girls work well or dental bands for braces.
Sure guys could recommend alternatives too.

Those hair bands work (only my daughter keeps complaining why they seem to dissapear )
But they might not be strong enough to pull back your servo, in case of power outage. Just try, give full throttle (engine not running off course) and switch off your transmitter......

yep gave a rubber band a go tonight but there is a fine line to being to strong and to weak I might take it to a spring place and try some springs
so what was the best most powerful rx battery for the g4s thats available and that will obviously fit? these 1/10 cars are so tiny with no room compared to 1/8 buggies???
Thanks
