I've found a really stupid thing with the RR. Kyosho have tried to copy Xray/Serpent with the way to mount the shocks. They have a long grub screw which goes into the A-arm leaving 4-5mm sticking out.

Then you have threaded balls to screw onto the grub screw. The only problem is that Kyosho forgot to put the 'hex' into the balls so there is no way to hold them whilst tightening!!!! This is a real major oversight by the Japanese . I have had to resort to the VoneR method of using flat headed screws!

HI HAM !

It is not an official conversion pack from kyosho. It is actually bundled by a local shop. I have no idea how he can make this but I have this conversion pack and I am using the low friction belt/pulley and the front new parts.

Rear output shaft on V1R

I just finished building the VR1 kit. If I follow the prescribed rear ball link lengths the output shaft comes off. Is this normal?? Am I missing something?

Maybe...I have mine tightened enough so that it does not pop off. Is it popping off when your shocks are on or are your shocks off? You can always go the expensive route and buy Universals for the rear, then you know it won't pop out ($30 US/pair). But you don't really need to get Universals if you have the pivot balls screwed in enough.
