SHARP

I have a Lola set of front body posts and a sedan set of front body posts. HPI sells a pair of body posts that work for the front for around $3.00. I don't cut the rear body posts so I can use them for both body types and to act as a bit of a roll bar. I cut the front posts so that 3 holes remain for the Lola body.

I haven't found any cars from different makes that use the same hole pattern. Many times cars of the same make will have the same hole pattern, though.

Roar Legal.......................... Novarossi MT12 or RBX12 then send it to Dennis to get the work done! then you are in business!

Or go straight to JP Black Modified MT12,

Also Centex clutch and different gearing on the pinion is a must! if you have all that then you will be fine on small and large track!

Just a suggestion for you! buy 2 clutch bell and 4 pinion gears say if you have a MTX-2 then use 16/20 pinion for small track and 17/22 for fast and large track! That's all you will need!

Yes it is, it is a modified 3 port using regular glow plugs so it is roar legal! I heard it is super fast! and someone mentioned it is in the 1.6hp range! but I kind of doubt it! I really dont think a 3 port can gernerate this much hp!

chris I already sent you a picture of the crank it is the same in that engine also so the answer is it is very controversial to say the least as I have said. The turbo flute enters the tunnel and according to a quote rule clarification mid last year roar is calling this illegal. Even though it states that the crank bore shall be no more than 7mm, and does not state the length of that 7mm bore, however they still ruled it illegal on the 12's. It states the length very specifically for the 15's in (note2)It is still not written anywhere but I know first hand you will catch heck as my gen 1 cranks looked similar only biturbo.

depending on when and how roar blends this with ifmar's new rules for 200MM it may become legal. time will tell that.

I run the JP RS-12 non turbo. Under IFMAR rules, the engine is legal.

Compared to my other engines (MT-12, RS-12) the JP is quicker but no where near the 1.6Hp range. I would estimate more closer to 1.4-1.45, as it is just slightly quicker then the RS-12 on the same track (IMO)

yes under the proposed Ifmar rules the JP is legal as is the new picco RR and the Innotec 12. Since the world 200MM race will be ifmar sanctioned those will not be an issue there. we will have to see how the final ruleset shakes out before the worlds things could change.

Motorman

I was talking to a local engine modifier and he told me a few things I wasn't to sure about

-If you drill your pipes stinger out to 5.4mm right through the baffle and run a .15 header on MT or RS12, it will give more power and still be legal under IFMAR.

- The ideal length of fuel line ( for maximum power ) from pipe to tank is 18 inches for .12 Novarossi and therefore it is best to use a large alloy fuel filter with the centre taken out to help give the required volume

Does this sound right

on the first question yess to the stinger under ifmar rules, running the max legal stinger diameter is a must and yeilds a big performance gain. On the other hand I prefer the small header to increase exhaust velocity. Its a matter of preference.

On the second question I run that stuff on the exhaust side not on the fuel feed side. the reason I run it on the exhaust side is to try to even out the exhaust pulses to the fuel tank. It makes the fuel delivery more stable IMO.

Great thanks Motorman

I'm of to get the drill now.

Theres a tip for a few people, I have'nt heard anyone drilling out the stinger before

With the fuel line thing I actualy meant the exhaust side, I just wasn't sure about the 18inches

So would changing the header to a .15 give more hp or rpm top or bottom or overall,

or not really any of the above

Thanks again!
