Will the 2-speed from a MTX-3 fit directly onto a MTX-2?

Mugen's own 2-speed will not fit the MTX-3. If I reckon, the original 2-speed was finger type. In contrary, the MTX-3 is shoe-type.

I remembered I had to use Kawahara MTX-2 2-speed on my MTX-2.

regards,

Default Da 2 Rules!!!

I built a 705 but still have my outlaw MTX2 In all fairness I'm not use to the 705 but my friend is and the little 2 walked all over the 705!!! I tryed again to drive it and cliped the wall (not very hard) and It broke a upright ($9.00) and a shock rod ($11.00) Think I'll stick with the MTX2

Isn't the MTX-3 2-speed a copy of the Kawahara 2- speed for the MTX-2?

Someone here made the MTX-3 tranny fit on their MTX-2, BUT it required a LOT of mods & cutting. Personally, I think it's not worth it. Just buy the Kawahara tranny.

OK, something different ...

Now do you still think driving your RC car is hard?

Couldnt agree more! in fact Kawahara's 2 speed shoes are much better then Mugen one, it holds up much better, the one on my mtx3 last only 9 mths, and the Kawahara one in my MTX2 lasted for ages!

Perhaps, after their collaboration--Kawahara+Mugen--we shall expect to see better QC in the MTX-4 or MRX-4.

best,

best,
Well, I kind of look at it differently, if any manufactoy makes a perfect kit, then all the hop up company will be out of business!

For example, the MRX3 works kit, there are only a few aftermarket hop ups, and most of them will not help the performance at all, say in my case, I am one of those hop up freaks and I have no aftermarket parts on my MRX.
