Different types of pulley(s)

An 18T pulley. A 19T pulley. What do the different types of pulley(s) do for perfermance? These are for the side, right? Thanks.

Steve,

Did you get Kawahara roll bars in? Your site says they are out of stock. I heard they are backorder from Kawahara.

19T pulley is supposed to be on the end of the output shaft and it pulls the 24T pulley.
18T is on the right side of the mid shaft pulling the the long belt(front diff)

Hope it helps

Guys,

has anybody ever tried to fit a clutch type 2-speed on the MTX2?

I don't know about you, but with my engine, the little pin in the 2nd gear housing gets bend and tortured big time and I replaced the housing recently because the aluminum around the pin started breaking.

adjust your shifting point earlier if you are running the MT-12 engine! this thing has enough torque to push the car even if you shift to second early!
Shifting too late will kill your housing pin, too much power for it to handle!
I remember someone has posted a replacment parts that has 2 pin in the housing! but forgot where! it's a custom modified part!

Speedline sells the housing with 2 pins. I have one, it works great.

W Fok, I prefer the stock finger type 2speed clutch over the clutch type. The stock 2speed clutch works great already.

No problem man, if you are running Ritchey RTU engine then you should make the son of a bitch shifts earlier to get everything out of the Ritchey! Wouldnt you agree?

In fact the 2nd speed engage smooth if you assemble the 2speed correctly. The finger should not "HIT" the pin when gear shift. Better check the direction the way the finger goes.

This guy is perfectly right! when I first got my mugen I flip that son of a bitch backward, it still shifts but with a hard bang. I thought if I put it backward then it wouldnt shift but nadddddd wrong, it still shifts. Then one day I saw a pro running his and he was adjusting his 2nd speed and the adjustment screw was towards the back of the shaft that's how I caught it! luckily I didnt break anything!

I agree. I've got a Ritchey engine also. That's why I went to the Speedline housing; I broke the pins in 2 stock housings. But I haven't had any problems with it since putting the the one with 2 pins on it.

The thing with the Ritchey engines is the torque. With a high engagement point, I was literally spinning the tires when it shifted into 2nd. In addition to readjusting my shift point, I had to go up a tooth on my pinions to help keep the tires on the pavement.
