Default Carb difference

What's the difference between a slide carb and rotary carb?

Is one better than the other?

One faster than the other?

Thanks
Alan.

without going into physical differences, Slide carbs provide a very quick response (great for on-road cars and or good traction conditions whereas rotary carbs have a more linear response (ie more controlable in off road, technical tracks etc)
