I believe you have the adjusting nut too tight, loosen it up about 3/4 of a turn and see if it engages better, also what is the measurement of your endplay? if your endplay is way big then your clutch will also slip.

yeh i loosened up the adjusting nut and nothing seemed to change except for the fact that the engine doesnt even start now

Is the engine broken in already? also maybe the adjustment on the engine is way too rich. try to open the throttle all the way while starting it. also loosen the adjusting nut on the clutch a little more.

Hello

I am just wondering, but is there any tool that can let you adjust the spring tension without disassembling the clutch? If so where can I buy it?

Thanks

Save the $25 and just put a very small and cheap L-hex wrench in the hole and follow the Serpent instructions--spin the flywheel.

Righty tighty ect.............................
