Suna, I realise this is an old post, but you are still active on the boards.
I just picked up a Hyper One Seven

Have you found any weak points with the car? What breaks often or wears out quickly?
Also, how do you like the Axial .28 vs the stock hyper .21 8port. The hyper's a rev monster, but the Axials got some good torque and decent rpm. Which pipe are you using? Or are you using the stock rear exhaust?

I ended up selling mine as it was just sitting there. The one thing that choked me...was that the parts support was brutal. Completely brutal.

Really, I've spoken with NItrohouse several times and they have the parts in stock, those that they don't can be ordered from HoBao.
I've already ripped the stock engine out, and dropped a OS 30vg in there with a Stillen on-road pipe.
However the transmission shattered last friday when it shifted to 2nd. I sent it to OFNA, 24hrs after they received it a new 2spd was on the way. I'd prefer the 2spd w/o reverse but they don't import that model so "can't get the parts". I would like to lower the rotating mass of the drivetrain for faster acceleration and lighter overall weight.

Well, I'm going to get an on-road electric beast out of it, found a CNC'd motor mount for a brushless electric motor that replaces the rear center diff bulk. With such a long chassis I've got tons of room for some big LiPo's, and removing the complete 2spd w/reverse, reverse servo, as well as the gas tank, and engine will lighten the load tremendously.
I might drop a 2spd in it as diffs from hyper7, Jammin, and kyosho are interchangable so a OFNA 2spd transmission should work just fine.
But thats in the future, right now the 30vg shoudl work just fine.
