I found your comment a compliment. I understand that Mugen cars are simple to setup and drive than other cars, and build well because of exceptional parts fitting quality. Not to mention durable. I related those things with your comment.

Given what I have built so far with my P81, the car is coming along nice and smooth. Excellent parts fitments to boot. The instructions are super clear and concise. I am really liking the way this car is coming together. I can't wait to drive it, once I get the missing parts to complete the car.
Thanks glad to hear the new cars are what everyone expected now we got to kick IT up A notch in racing letting people know for are force to recken with GO MOTO HEADS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Default P81

Are the body mount holes in same place as P80.R or will you have to purchase new bodys?

If you use a YBLSOW front body mount, you can just about fit the old body on the new car. The main difference at that point is the wheelbase on the new car is slightly longer (if you build it stock) compared to the old car.

Thanks for the heads up, Garen. I will shorten the wheelbase on my build since 301 Raceway is a technical track. Shorter wheelbase = yummy turning radius. Longer wheelbase = great and stable on straights.

I'm heading up to 301 Raceway this weekend for the Tornado Challenge. I'll be running my Motonica (older car - P80.R). Looking forward to running at 301.

It is a great track! Best on the East Coast in my opinion. But beware that this is a technical track with LOTS of grip! It is treated almost every day so traction is always there. The asphalt is also very well done and barely puts wear on your tires.

You will love it a lot. I just hope I can get my car ready in time. I'll look for you at the track.

Garen,

Body looks very nice.

Any chassis photos of the rest of the car?

The silver springs are rated as hard and should be great on most tracks in my opinion, when using the stock shock oil (500 wt). The standard setup looks decent enough to drive and feel the car before changing springs and oils.

Right now, I believe someone said that the Mugen springs would fit on these shocks.

the springs that come with the kit, although silver in color, are motonica's 'white' springs, which are 'soft'. going up in stiffness, next are black, silver, and gold.

Oh my God... what a mean trick to play. Silver springs which are actually white. I hope you, Arno, and Hovik didn't play a trick me...

Knowing Garen, it is probably a Parma R11.

As far as the bodies, per what Garen has said, the P81 has a slightly longer wheelbase, based on the standard setup. I am pretty sure you can shrink the wheelbase to make the body fit. Shouldn't hurt too much, since smaller wheelbases give you a better turning radius which would be prime for technical tracks.

Garen can state more.
