Diesel engines don't need spark plugs or anything like that, so I guess a similar thing could happen on a nitro car.
Oh yeah, I've had that happen too, but I thought that I did have a glow ignitor on so I didn't think about it at the time. Until the next time I fired my engine up, I realized my glow ignitor was still at the bottom of my pit box.

the weird thing was it was the first time i started it that day plus it was freezing cold outside!

Diesel engines dont need a spark becaue the compression is SO much greater than gasoline engines. I resatrted my engines before without a glow heater right after they stall. That was becuase the plug was still hot. But as for as starting it otherwise with out the glow heater...no way. BTW, that x-files red head chick looks rather nice ....oh la la.

diesel engines dont have spark plugs b/c the fuel is injected into the cylinder where the spark plug would be

Diesel engines start using a glow plug as well!

o yeah for got about that, but i kno the fuel is injected right beside the plug, and some diesel engines are called "turbo" because the air in spun before it enters the cylinder, why cant r/c engine manufacturs do that

Besides, if you think about it, who needs turboed air intake with an R/C car? We already can buy turbo heads and mod the engines. Heck when you scale it we already go lightening fast. 1/10 scale going 50-70 mph and 1 full size car that usually will engage the governor at a little over 110 mph.

not an acctual "turbo" more like stationary fins and the carb, opening like that tornado thing they sell for real cars
