I really like this car, but it's nitro, so no way to race it indoor.
Has someone ever tried to convert this car into electric?

Why go through all the cost and effort to convert this one to an electric when there are plenty of good electric 1/12th scale kits already available?

New model based on the Spada 09 chassis. Spada 09 L sedan model coming soon. Maybe Kyosho USA will bring these in.

Well, the Sirio 09R just got released. It has been modified from factory and I think is 3 port. It has a hex insert also in the case where the cardbslide is, so I know the case has been altered for more power along with Blue head, cold glowplug and modded crank. There are a few modded Sirio 09's like Kondo and BLee Racing. But, if you want a different motor, but direct fit, the Charge AMR09CZ. They make the engine mounts for this engine and it has a 2 needle carb, unlike the single needle Sirio. I haven't heard anything on the Charge engine yet though.

I'd have to say they have more power with a better powerband. I would suggest the stock engine with the aluminum backplate and the Kyosho Spada tuned pipeset before going out for another engine. The Charge engine looks good and I like the 2 screw carb. Gives more tuning, but I have to see what the new 09R has to offer also.

Part number for the Spada 09 tuned pipe is SDW011. Where are you located? Most of my parts come direct from Japan. Its easier than most think.

Did you get the servos and linkages squared away? When I last saw it, the linkage setup wasn't perfect. The instructions for the servo horn dimensions have to be exact.
