Well, I don't see where the demand is for the car...I've had mine up for sale for over 2 months. Even at $400 with a fully custom carbon fiber chassis and custom suspension, modified engine, 2 new sets of tires and over $100 in spare parts.... it won't sell...... So, I would have to say that Kyosho made the right decision.

I'll argue with that logic. I have run this car at several events... generally in practice as there aren't other cars around and have had a lot of interest in the car. Just yesterday at a parking lot track I ran the car after the event (no other 1/12th car was present) and people stopped and watched... some came and asked about the car....

"Yeah.. it's a fun car to drive... you can't get them in the US and I had to import mine for myself."

Not having local dealers able to supply parts and kits scares people and keeps this little rocket from becoming a mushrooming class ... not the car itself.... I had never bought or shipped anything directly from Japan when I ordered this car... I was nervous about my $$'s turning into Yen then disappearing and someone laughing at the dumb American. But the wasn't the case.... the transaction was flawless and subsequent purchases have also been fantastic. But I had to take a chance to get my hands on this car. I would think that most people are more conservative and would not risk this type of purchase. That alone would put reins on the growth of the Spada in the US.

The lack of Kyosho support (as far as I can tell.. lack of support only in the US.. but available in the REST OF THE WORLD) is the problem. If the car was not selling in the REST OF THE WORLD... it would go away. You can get parts from the UK and the Far East.... and I do/will, but, I can buy nothing for it from any of several LHS's (ok...that's not entirely true.. I was able to get a LHS to order in a glow plug for me).

As far as your car not selling.... I have rarely gotten $.40 for the dollar when selling any r/c car on the open market. If you get more than that you are lucky.

One last point...

While I have had absolutely no problems ordering parts into the US from overseas... I would much rather buy the LHS's in my area.... any day.

yes, I agree about supporting the local hobby shops. I too imported my car for myself to tinker with. I've done it and now I have an RC pet that I can take for a walk around my block. It takes me about 25 min to walk it at a fast pace. The car will make it that and almost 3/4 the way back around before running out of fuel.

I installed the 1.5 degree camber arms for the front.... haven't had time to run it since... but was an easy mod.

What brand arms? I've been reviewing spares and options and there are quite a few now. Found some modded Sirio 09 engines out there too. Waiting for this kit to show up and then start going over it.

What changes have you noticed with the camber plates? More steering or even tire wear?

I haven't had time to run it, but, I would hope for more even tire wear .... the fronts take a beating and cone pretty quickly. In fact... the fronts wear much quicker than the rears.
