I use the 'Motor Saver' air cleaner (photo of car with this aircleaner is on page 23 of this thread) ... you have to pull it off the engine to get to the high speed....errr... the only needle adjustment. I have polished the intake, ports and exhaust so I felt the larger aircleaner would help the motor breath. The increased volume of air requires more fuel too... probably why I am getting only three minutes with the stock fuel tank. That is no longer an issue with the Losi tank conversion located on pages 11 and 12 of this thread. JBSmith1 on this thread was getting 5 minutes of race time with the lower nitro content fuel and the stock tank. Perhaps that is what Kyosho meant for this little rocket.... but, I run 30% in everything else... and with the larger tank.. 15 minutes of run time... with the larger tank JBSmith1 should get a half hour.... the mind races....

yeah with 30 minutes run time I could probably win against the nitro sedans!!

Testing continues...

We have a new track layout and there are some full throttle sweepers with some bumps mid-corner that kept unsettling the rear.
I have already fitted softer rear springs (0.018 from L4) this had helped in a straight line going over bumps but not now through these bumpy corners...I knew it was probably because there was no damping for the rear springs so below is the result of many hours of head scratching.

I made some carbon fiber arms up that mounted to the rear swing arms, then connect to some nt18/m18 dampers with 100k diff oil on the shafts.
In the vid the long left hander in the middle off the lap and the long right hander on to the straight were the problems...not any more.

the part you made.. does it connect at the pivot screw and in the middle of the pivot? I am trying to see how it does not slip and I can't see enough to make out what specifically you've done. Pretty cleaver though. What about ditching the small spring and run the springs intended for the shock?

lol heres a brighter pic m8, the carbon arm is locked to the swing arm with a star washer, the rounded end to the arm replaces the normal washer, and m3 cap head bolt screws it all togeather, leaving just a bit of end float, its simple and not worth over engineering any further.
The Xray springs are too stiff to be used, but I'm looking for some proper micro piston shockers from something now...

Charge Parts
I think we saw some cad pics of these parts a few pages back.
I like the thrust race idea for the diff, we use the same idea in electric 12th (slapmaster) to save the hub bearing.
