Hey guys, I have found a few aftermarket parts that have made an Aluminum 23T pulley for the MTX-4. I was wondering if anyone knows where can I find a plastic 23T pulley.

Can you add shims to make the To-164's turn-in like the to-138b's?

what front uprights are you running? the 138 has that problem bad, the 138b has more initialo it's bad too, the 164 is the best.
that all depends on the traction also.
i love the 138b for my track here in VA

i am also used to running them, so my set up will be a little diff than a car that runs well here with the 164s. my 2cent

That would be them! Now to find a shop that has them and ships to the US...

As for the uprights, I'm a fan of the 164's

serpent has a 23 plastic pulley, but you'll need the aluminuhm part to hold it
good luck,

Thanks for the links asw7576. I was trying to find them in plastic, it is to my knowledge that the lifespan of aluminum pulleys is not that great and that the life of the belt decreases.

Bear in mind that you have to add shims under steering linkage on the front upright to achieve approx. the same steering geometry as the original MTX-4. The T0138-B "FRONT UPRIGHT WC" and T0164 have the steering linkage located 3mm lower that the original (while T0138-B is otherwise the same as original, T0164 is the new 2 degree kingpin option). The T-0138B was made to be able to tune bump steer, this is the part that was used on the World Champ winning car.
Here's the post

after i read it a few more times, i will let you know if i understand it

i put my car back to the setup that works here at our track, but forgot the uprights, and the car deff wasnt the same. not enough steering for our track, i think because the 164s are for the higher traction applications from what i have heard. the shims i am still studying.
