The 3racing stuff is not even close to Kawahara. The Kawahara 4mm chassis is milled out enough for the one piece mount. The alloy and finishing is superb.

if i were mugen, i have mix feeling that should it be a new car next year instead of waiting to see some other x brand stablized their "3 years development" a me too(look like) new car.
but according to mugen practice, every 3 years is a new model, normally.

Strangely, my M-MOD one piece mount does not work with my Kawahara 4mm chassis. The one piece does not slide in far enough for an anywhere near decent gear mesh . Because of this I am using the stock mounts ...but the LHS has offered to machine the chassis slightly ...it only requires a tiny amount to be shaved off. Still, when you see this beautiful piece of engineering ...it breaks your heart to 1) see the scratches on the bottom after one race meet and 2) have it machined. The M-MOD one piece makes up for it though ...another stunning piece of engineering

That why i haven't fitted my Kawahara 3mm chassis, i'm not looking forward to it being scratched , i'll keep using the stock chassis or maybe use the 3 racing chassis thats on my other MTX4 if i dont decide to sell it

Quick question guys,

I am about to order a bulk lot of Kawahara tires.

What are the differences between "A" , "B" and "BA" type and what would better suit the MTX-4R?

Sorry, I have been using GRP's all this time, so Kawahara is a new kettle of fish for me.

Cheers
