Average Braking Distance

My Thunder Tiger TS-4N is taking about 6-7 metres to come to a halt, whilst travelling at full speed. Note that it has a plastic brake disc.

How long is it taking for others' cars to stop whilst going at a decent speed?

Its got the stock motor in it, so if you guys think that is too long, i think it would be 'cause of the brake needing some adjustment, not 'cause of my engine. Ok Ok, stop laughing, i hear you all.

it depends how you like to drive. i hardly use the brakes, and they only just stop the car. (full brake is like half brake with me)

i tend to just brake a touch and throw the car into the corner, let the momentum wash of the speed. mind you this only works on a high speed open track and you have to have a set up that sticks. or you'll have the problems i was having last race meet.

mine probably takes about 12 metres. carbon fibre brake.

do you really want it to break so hard though? if you lock it up you will not be able to turn. set it so it stops yet still allows you to turn.

Default Whats a brake?

If I used my brakes on my serpent Impact I would certainly be losing badly in a race. My brakes are setup where they dont even lockup the wheels at idle if its sitting on a car stand. If a guy gets sideways infront of me I just plow him out of the way.
