Engine wont start help!
 

hey guys, i have a nitro .18 SS (HPI) in my RS4 3 its only just past the break in stage and havent used it for about 4 months, i have a starter box and it just wont start even with throttle open or closed, what might be cause this?? and it doesnt even sound like it wants to start with new glow plugs as well glow ignitor is rubnning off starter box

No fuel is getting to the carb. Prime the engine by holding the exhaust port opening with your finger while attempting to start the motor. This is likely the cause.

well the fuel lines are full and its getting pressure tryed the plugging up exhaust and didnt do anything .... any thing else?

did you lube the motor the past 4 months it was sitting there? the motor could be gumed up with old fuel and is not letting fuel get through the carb.

lol yes it just sat on display in my garage while i was body dropping my 1991 Toyota Pickup, so a mixture of things coulda gotten to the air filter or in the engine like bondo dust saw dust fiber glass dust anything i guess, so what do i do just take it apart and clean it out with nitro fuel?

Take it apart and clean it up with some mild detergent or you could use fuel. Try to polish off all the grit and anything you find inside. Then soak it in some 3 in 1 oil for an hour and let the oil penetrate. Then you can put it back together and try starting it again. Make sure you let it warm up and/or idle a bit so you clean out all the junk left inside and let the fuel clean out the inside before you start driving hard.
