I think it is the other way around... It is recommended to change to #10 ackerman for technical tracks and #12 for large flowing tracks. #11 is midway between #10 and #12...

Correct. You get tighter steering with the 10 and the 12 gives less steering.

Right now I'm using the #10 ackerman and it has lots of steering. Our track is more of a technical one so that really helped me
