GP vs EP
 

I am picking up RC again and I am undecided whether I should go for GP or EP after all. IMO, GP is faster, longer run time and less expensive. EP is, on the other hand, much cleaner.

My choice for GP will be MTX3 and EP will be MR4TC SD.

Any suggestion?

To me, any racing is fun racing. I however prefer nitro, for one thing, because of nitro enine tuning. I'd prefer to tune an engine than a motor. Second, there is very little electric racing here anymore. Third, there are a lot of nitro on-road racers and more is better. It means more people are likely to be as good (or bad;) ) as you are, so that means more closer racing. Nitro racing costs a bit more at one time. All I buy is tires and fuel after my original purchase. I buy like three glow plugs every 3-5 months but I get everything else during the original purchase. This could make your first purchase around 1300 bucks, but if you are like me, you won't be paying too much afterwards.

I don't know if electric would be more expensive, but if you want to be on top I could see how.


If I were you, I would go with the class that is more popular in your area because I always love to race with as many people as possible.

thats entirely up to you, you lazy? then get EP, your not? get GP.

That is interesting 'cause I thought the otherwise. Can you elaborate a bit? But to answer your question, I am a bit lazy and cleaning the car while making a mess at home is a major drawback for me. :smile:

Last year or so when I gave up racing, there is more GP racer. However, trend changes a bit as far as I can tell and I dont believe it is dominant anymore. Esp with MR4TC SD coming soon (Masami has lots of fans), I expect to see more EP.

I would get nitro. There is nothin' like to look on the other people's faces when you fire that thing up.
