SPEEDLINE Grand Prix

It seems to be a pattern how the race dates are set. Is it the track or is it Mike Queller? Speedline is his race and he's president of ROAR.
For the last two years Kissimmee has hosted a big race the first week in November. The 2005 Nats and the 1st annual US Open Fuel Sedan Champs (RC Pro Series event). This month was picked first because it conflicted with no other major races and it's also a great time to be in Florida. The last big race was always October in Vegas.
And what does ROAR go and do, place the 2007 sedan Nats the week right after the Kissimmee 2007 sedan race. Kyosho who was the main sponsor of the race (gave away 5 RRR kits/5 Sirio motors and sent Tosilini) will still sponsor the race. But how can they send any Top quality drivers, knowing the week after they must attend the sedan nats in Texas. The same goes for Serpent who sponsored the Factory class and brought over Micheal Salven to attend. And Mugen who sent Robbie Collins and Jarrad Scott. The race went off very well with 51 participants for the first ever event. Everyone enjoyed the race and were in awe with the Triple A 20 minute mains we ran. Salven has said he will bring more Europeans this year.
I know for sure MQ knows and knew about Kissimmee's race. How is this promoting the hobby? I will move my race this year (dates to be announced), but will go back to having the 1st week in November race the following years to come.

Sorry to hear Kevin. It was an awesome event. I know it will only get better also. Man what it is going? I hope things get better, but everytime I turn around something negative is happening.

This may be a cheep way to look at things, but I'm thinking about attending the Speedline race only due to costs. I live in Florida and to attend the race at the IRL would cost me over $500 after hotel, food, race entry, ect. I happen to have an aunt that lives 18miles from porter and I can fly for $232 and don't have to have a rental car or hotel. So it is almost a no brainer.

SPEEDLINE GRAN PRIX
Terry,
When do you arrive? I am hoping ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, like Tuesday. After our pre-race festivities, that should be enough time to sober up. We should be good to go! Have you built your Touring Car yet?

idea of what you're talking about / whatever do you mean
..... I'll get in Thursday morning! No time
to even think about building a kit .... just trying to squirt
some bodies to run have been a pain. My 3 month old is
pretty demanding ..... My Wife already taught her that
she gets anything she wants from Daddy..... being held ALL THE TIME!
See ya!
