Erm I not sure how to differentiate, maybe will try w/ & w/o the filter just for a moment to check.

So what if its the intake noise how do i resolve? change air filter type?

-you don't "resolve" itake noise. intake noise will always be present to some extent. does the car seem to running properly, ie., good power, not sluggish? are you sure there is a "problem"....Matt.............

Also check the pipe or the header. May not be sealing properly. Thats how karts sound when they break header joint.
