Heaps of guys at our track run the JP Modified RS-12.
For an extra $100(Aus), there is very little difference between the JP version and the standard RS, and from what I've seen, the JP version has a bery short life span.
Have not yet seen a 5 Port run yet.

There has been 2 cases where both JP's have blown prematurely (both drivers are very experienced).
For $450(Aus) for the JP RS-12, and only $360(Aus) for the RS-12, I rest my case.

Del Rossi Hobbies in Campbelltown got the very first RS-12 imported for me for $370 just before the QLD State Titles. I had to pay alittle extra to get it shipped over ASAP.

Not sure if you saw my car in QLD AMG, but it was easily keeping up with JP's down the straight (and sometimes overtaking them). My 3 good friends all run JP RS-12 (all purchased together), and all are convienced that there isn't a significant improvement in power compared to a standard RS-12.

world class tuner Jean Paul's engines are nothing. i heard the same from my LHS that even an OS 12TR can keep up with a JP. but dont u guys agree with me that the modifications are really nice, the BIG air intake venturi, the turbo crankshaft...just so yummy!

its lucky that both of us are in Asia where its generally cheaper....but what the heck, I still complain that the hobby is still too expensive.
