Has anyone tried serpent 720 shocks on the nt1?

Run the stock springs, I believe only Ralph Burch changed his front springs to a slightly harder rate on the day of the mains to compensate for the high traction that day. The rear springs were left stock. I ran the stock springs when I went there and the car was on rails.

Mike what's up hows everything. Is the build coming along well? I know people have run the serpent shocks on the the NT1 successfully, but I would recommend keeping to the stock shocks with the adjustable piston. I have had no issues with mine

thanks...after doing the research and confirming things with you guys, it should work out...the only good think about being away is i get the chance to totally blueprint the car, as far as components, then i can buy it piece by piece and have it all together when i get home...now next, i just need to start with the engine, im thinking JL .12 evo 3... or the OS TZ .12, what do yall think? both are around $200

Diatta's correct. The stock springs were used in the front and rear, while they used slightly stiffer fronts (similar to the purple 35.5lb) when grip was way up.

I still can't get over the fact that the price of a NT1 is now $489.95. Given that a set of front CVDs cost $67.00, that makes the base price of the car only $422.95. Didn't I read somewhere that they were throwing in the front CVDs for free? [ http://www.redrc.net/2007/10/xray-nt1-2008-chassis/ ] Wasn't the going street price for the original car only $400?
What's up with this $90 price increase???

i checked out Bobby Flack's setup from the Capitol Race last year...looks good...my question is, what is the "box stock" setup that the manual gives you? would this be benificial to start with while tuning the engine?
