Has anyone successfully mounted the Alpha R-1 body onto the 1/7 DM-1 Pro? There are pics of it on top of the DM1 in this thread, but the front and rear bumpers are not in the pic.

I've run the R3 on my DM1 Spec 1/8 scale and was told the R1 was for the longer wheel base DM-1 1/7scale, but I've never mounted or tried one.

I can do that, but actually have two different cars with different set ups. Managed to get 2nd again at the Heart of America series race between 4 Serpents, but ran the "Wrong" car for the conditions and did not get that point until I got back home today. A win and 2 seconds in the last three outings. Not bad for a car that most sold to get the Serpent.

New parts may be out shortly as well.

The chassis cut out is the same as the 1/8 Spec chassis and yes a Kyosho or OFNA 150 tank will fit. IGT Hobbies, has the tanks listed as option parts. They are both not as wide as the stock tank, but taller. Should help miss the front shocks in the laydown position.

Gary, Thanks for the thoughts .......

My family and I are all good ..... others in the area not so much, but we'll get through it. Some of the area's will take years to get cleaned up and only parts will be re-built. Just like your corner of the world ......
