Ran the Fireball race in Lincoln Nebraska this weekend and Qualified the DM-1 in 2nd, behind and in front of Serpents. Better qualification run than I had last year and should have been a little faster. Sydor still has the field covered, but I like him knowing other cars are getting faster.

Broke in the main, but I should have done more wrenching before the race.

One more race here prior to the Byrons.

Parts are now up on the web site www.darksidems.com

We'll be adding a new front foam bumper (bigger to fill the space for the OFNA McLaren) and more dense than stock.

Your car looked good all weekend Mark! Too bad about the main
I really like the upgrades you have goin' for the DM-1. Very nice and obviously make it much faster on the track. Those are the best upgrades to have imo! See ya next month. -Jon

Thanks Jon,

I was watching you and Z get closer to me all weekend with the Serpent cars.

I found a few more things to work on, but I picked up 3/10 a lap from last year so we are going in the right direction.

Not really sure, but some of the parts cross over to the X2.

I want to get rid of the pivot ball suspension on it and I know the Hyper 7 was available with a conventional setup as well. Hoping it might be a direct swap.

Default DM-1 Chassis

Earlier this year there was some talk about chassis for the DM-1. AT this point the only option that is easily available is for the stock OFNA part, which works fairly well but is is heavy and a little soft.

I've got a King Headz aluminum 7071 that is lighter and stiffer than the original. I was thinking about talking to them to make another run, since they have sold out and discontinued it.

Anyone interested in one?

New parts we are working on - Foam bumper, larger to fit the McLaren or Protoform Body and done in a denser and more stable foam. New stand up servo tray that moves the servos for better steering and weight.

Hi Mark,

I'm ready to place an order if these parts are still available and in stock?

Cheers
Richard

Default Light Weight Pivot Balls

Found I have two many of these and kind of hard to find.

So if you want to take +/- 30grams out of your DM-1 this will do it.
