New parts we are working on - Foam bumper, larger to fit the McLaren or Protoform Body and done in a denser and more stable foam. New stand up servo tray that moves the servos for better steering and weight.

I finally break down the DM1 since last year mid west series and Byron, and installing the Sydor kits.....man, what a mistake that you did by sending this to me.... you guys should not tell me this conversion and I can't wait to see you guys at Byron. I feel the DM1 now is just as good as the Cobra and can't wait to lay it down....thanks for the kits and setup sheet.

Howard,

The parts you have are updated from what Bill and I had started ........ So you need to make the show or it will be just because you can't drive .......... like me.

I should have the new servo mount in the next 6-10 days from the machine shop.

Oh yeah....my kids will be in HK when Byron is running so I will be showing up on SAT for the qualifiers for once....(the last 2 years I skipped the 1st day qualifiers and just show up the main and bumps...). I will give you the run for your money....beside you, I have to beat someone for the 3rd year in a roll, the STEAK DINNER for the whole weekend is on the line this time. I cannot sandbag anymore....

The Sydor care package is great, fully installed without problem. I just need to the weather to turn warmer then 30 degrees and will start up the engine.

Is there no way to make an LST clutch bell work in a DM-1? Are there any 15-19 or 16-20 pinions that would fit on it?

I've used the DM-1 clutch bell with 3 small bearings in the front side and a normall 5x10 in the back side. With that you have 14, 15, 16 and 17 for first and 18, 19, 20 and 21 for second pinion gears.

So the stock clutch bell will do what you want.

I hate the stock CB. One, it's too expensive. Two, it's not available in Europe(and most annoyingly, I can never find an online shop, even in the States, that a.) has the CB in stock, but b.) also has the pinions I need, and c.) has realistic shipping prices...) And three - after paying a lot and waiting a long time for some oversees order, it'll go about half a gallon, then when I want to change the three front little baby bearings, one of them always doesn't want to come out. Result - ruined CB. I wish I could run a carbon clutch, but the two kinds of carbon clutches I have do not line up with the Ofna extension up front.. It is IMO a thoroughly stupid design, having that dumbaxx bearing size up front. I've had lots and currently have way too many RC's, so I know how to shim a clutch and mesh gears. I never get more than half a gallon on the front three bearings(at least so that I feel comfortable with them..), and it's a total crapshoot if I'll be able to get them out.

I would like my DM-1 a whole lot more if I had a solution for the CB. The rest of the car is great.
