I still have mine. I think we should start an official thread for the 1/8's. Too much 1/7th talk in here lol

I'm courious as to what guys are getting the dm1 specs to weight???? Mines 7.8 lbs. with no body, 1/2 tank of fuel other then that race ready. Only carbon is the stand up shock and servo tower. The max velocity chassis is tempting but hard to find and the price tag is high lol

New Thread could be good.

I would stay away from the graphite chassis, as you would be reducing the weight but moving the center of gravity up. Can be a good thing, but I have not seen many work well.

I've got a KingHeadz chassis on one car and stock onthe other. Not sure I have an opinion either way. But the 7075 aluminum is much stiffer, which seems to help for some of the large races, where there is great traction.

Mine is 3700 gr with full body and no fuel. I have some additional items to reduce the rotational weight in the drive line, which should help acceleration. (that is with a Novarossi 285t, that has a large head to keep it cool)

I'm working to get it down to the 3500 gr weight which puts it in line with the new Serpent car.

Thank you. Have you heard of Nyone converting to the wire style? Is it beneficial?

I did it and most here that race the DM1 do it also. It does help to have more than one alternative in the diameter of the swaybar.

^ how do you set front droop? Do you get rid of that entire assembly or just pull the blades out?

In my case I only did it on the rear. The others have cut the plastic piece to fit.

^. Thanks for the help. Them blade sways just throw me for a loop for some reason. There's no set screw that stops um from moving in or out so what are they doing? Lol. I know on the 1/8th scales like an Evolva there's a set screw.

There is a hole for a set screw! Look for it on the bottom of the swaybar mounts. It doesn't have one from the factory but the hole is there...

Was browsing some online shops and happened to see that a Mini-MGT also has a 15-19 clutch bell. Does anyone know if it will work in a DM-1? Thanks..

Are you having issues with the DM1 clutch bell? I've been able to go down to 14/17 gearing for one track.

Also heading off to the Sweep race with some new parts on the car to see if I can get closer to the Serpent. Testing has been really positive ........
