Thanks.. Spared me having to track down the address..

Anyway, I sent them a mail, and will post their answer.

The price is expensive, but man it's hard finding parts for the DM-1.. You have to track down every little bit, and there are different part numbers for the same thing depending on which car it comes from (1/8 or 1/7) as far as I can tell.. Kind of a pain..

I should have everything I need to get it up and running but we shall see...man am I ready to get my hands on this car! I plan to post many pictures and videos to share...
What electronics are you going to use? If you are using a sensored system, you will probably need an extended sensor cable, but other than that, it's a simple build.

I went with the 2 speed, clutch and mechanical brakes and love it.
Here is my build if it helps any:

Thanks Blaze!

For Houston, I also have 2 others that I am bringing into the 1:8 GT fold. People see these and want them! I think it's the size when they see them in person. Hard to tell in pics sometimes.

Ofna's reply:

"Most of it will work. The 2 speed shaft will not. The clutch bell may not. Sorry I do not see the OFNA part number.

you can put any gearing in first as long as you compensate in the second gear. according to what i have read the only thing that must happen is that the number of teeth have to add up togther and equal the same in first and second gear and also a differnce of four teeth it clutch bell and spur gears.

for example.

gear 1st 2nd
cb 14t 18t
spur 49t 45t
total 63t 63t

now i have broke the rule of the difference of four and even the adding to same total by + or - 1 tooth and i have never had problems.

for example i have ran in my dm1 with lrp30
in the clutch bell 15t/20 and in the spur 49t/44t which gives you better take off same top end.

also have tried 16t/21t and 49t/44t and gives you both a little better take off and a little more top end. but i think you really need a power house motor to pull this gears good.

hope this helps

break the rules and break parts = learn experience

So, finally got out to the local club track.. WOW!!! It was FUN. Huge track..

Gearing and tires aren't ideal, and this was my first time ever running on this track..

First, an onboard vid that is a bit long and hectic.. But hey, wanted to try it...

1/7 DM-1 Sport version with Porsche Carerra GT body, Mach 427 engine with 2063 pipe and Fioroni slider clutch, Hitec 5955(actually, the Tower version of it..) on steering, and Spektrum H6040 (identical to Savox 1258) on gas/brakes..:

Got another one from the drivers stand coming up in a second.. That track is HUGE...

So, normal vid of track and DM-1 from drivers' stand..:
