I stack 2 5x8 bearings and use one of these crank extender/spacer things from the ofna shim pack, really tightens things up and gets rid of all the wobble/slop of the cb, lots easier to set the mesh and the bearings last forever, the they musta been asleep that day when they put that 1 tiny bearing in there..........

Thanks for that sugestion. I've got parts coming and will try what your outlined, as it makes a lot of sense.

I use three small bearings with the longer spacer. If you can go with two or three and no more problems with broken cb bearings.

Maybe this down time would be good to toss out some set ups and maybe make a set up sheet for the car. Thoughts???

+1 on the setup sheets!

Sorry to hear you have to store your cars soo soon. We are lucky to be able to race all year long. BTW we have a great race in december so maybe some of you guys can take a little cold weather vacation and enjoy the warm weather here in the tropics!

Default Is the 1/7 Discontinued?

Is the DM-1 1/7 scale discontinued?

Will ofna maintain both the 1/8 SPEC and the 1/7?

I am interested in the 1/7, but will think it twice if it has been discontinued...

Thanks a lot for your help...

Default 1/7 scale DM1

I think these cars will be around a long time. The GT class is in a growth stage. This is the only car in the mix that has a pivot ball suspension and it is sturdy and reliable.
The are only a few parts different between the DM1 and DM1 Spec cars. Mainly the chassis, middle drive shafts, side body mounts and of course the rear vertical shock mounting plate.
A couple of weeks ago I drove a DM1 at the local racetrack and was pleased with the handling. I plan to purchase a DM1 and keep my DM1 Spec that I raced this summer.
