Thanks for the feedback guys.

I think I will go the full Ofna route for now, metallic pads and CNC disks. I was going to use some Kyosho pads but they are out of stock as usual for Kyosho parts.

Those Associated disks look interesting.

I think my next upgrades will be the upright servo plate and the upright front shock plate. I'd just like to get one good race day in with the stock setup for reference first.

I'm not going to claim that there the best, but
I like the Hitec servos. I ended up running them
on all my rc cars.
On my DM-1 Pro I use a HS 7955TG for steering
and a HS 5997TG for the t/b.
On my DM-1 Spec I use a HS 7955TG for steering
and a HS 7985MG for the t/b.
If you take the time and look around enough you
can buy good servos cheap.

I am running a Team Kamikaze modified Pico Evo 3 with a Novarossi 2052 pipe and a 4016 Novarossi header.
This thing is wicked fast. Only real mods to the car itself is I installed the vertical shock tower on the front.
As heavy as thing car is, it will still hang with the 1/10 scale cars.
This is a great combination.

I have a couple of suggestions....

Clockwork modified JL 21.....$250.00, hand fitted piston, DM-1 timing profile.... Smooth bottom end and screaming top end....

Clockwork Modified Picco P7R EVO 3 .....$320.00 ....strong bottom end and screaming top end.....

FYI the JL engine has a timing profile somewhere in between a onroad and offroad engine....Its smooth but powerful down low, and winds out like a Banshee on top end...it will easily take down a stock Toro Nero

here is one of my mod 28's in a DM-1

Apologies in advance for cross-posting this in two threads.

I'm a club racer in Utah, looking forward to the 2010 season of GT racing here. For fun, I thought I'd start a blog and post about my car and my racing experiences. Here's the blog, hope a few of you may find it interesting. I'd recommend reading from the bottom (oldest post first).
