I need some input on the brake set-ups you guys are using?
The reason I ask is I switched from the stock DM-1 Pro set-up
to the dual glass disc, four steel pad set-up off of a CRT. Now
I have way too much braking action and they lock when barely
touched. Also, I need to know if anyone has an exact measurement
of the fuel tank capacity, not including any fuel line?

There is a set collar which is adjustable on the brake lever, you can turn it clockwise or counter clockwise to loosen or tighten the brake amount. As for fuel capacity for the DM-1, it will be 125cc, you can install the CRT fuel tank in the car and get 150cc.

Part number is - OFN40109, It is not a direct bolt on, if you need help with mounting the fuel tank, let me know, I can post a picture of my setup in the DM-1 and possibly some instructions. It is very simple, the extra parts needed to mount the CRT tank to the car came from unused parts within the DM-1 kit.

I figured out what was going on with the brakes. I had too
re-adjust the brake pad bolts and re-shaped the brake cam
a little. I forgot about the original brake cam fix that we did
when the CRT's came out. I had too much slop in the brake pads and the brake cam was locking behind the brake pad.
It snowed last night, so I won't be able to test the brakes out
for a few days. Man,I can't wait until winter is over.

What's up vadn1,

I have been away for awhile what's the latest on setup for the DM-1. I plan on attending a few races for the 2009 season and I want to get ready!

ipanema seems to be the hot tire for the IGT class I see....

Below you will find pics to mount the 150cc Jammin CRT fuel tank to the DM-1. I have it installed in the original DM-1 and not the spec car, so how clearance for the tank on the DM-1 Spec is I can not say....

All the parts you see to raise the tank and get it mounted in the car are from the extra parts in the DM-1 Kit. Servo horn adaptors, muffler mounts, 3mm button head screw, nut and washers. The lower part of the front mount, bolts through the original counter sunk hole which the 125cc fuel tank mounted into.

Pardon the dirtiness of the car, I just got back from RCRCNT in Dallas and have not had a chance to take the car apart and clean it up....

Thanks for the pics Vad. The CRT tank is going on my DM-1
today. As far as the dirt goes. I would rather see a dirty car
after a good run, than see a dusty car that has been setting
on the shelf, any day.
