If you are going to get gears anyways, get the newer pitch gears. They have a finer tuning range than the older ones. Looks to be a few hard 180's and the rest of the track is open. I'd make sure you have good punch out of the 180 turns in 1st and a decent 2nd gear for the wide open areas.
I'm dropping 1 pinion tooth in first and keeping second stock in my MRX-4R to start with.
