2007 Midwest Series
Time to start a new forum for the 2007 season.

A lot of thoughts are going on right now about the MWS 2007 program. If you have pre-registered for any 2006 MWS race last year and that email address is still valid you will be receiving an email that will be asking for some input on locations and racing programs. If you are not sure that I have your current email please send it to me at [email protected]

The f1 car they displayed in Chitown, had some pretty hard rubber tires. Different tire designs/compounds are in the works. Can't see why the 'grippier' versions wouldn't work better on a treated track, than un-treated. Either way, it should be a handfull!

MWS
Combining the two series seems like a good way of haveing a large turnout.
Seems like a winner to me!
Stlouis will be a cruise for you mark 8-9 hours?
My only concern about joliet ever replaceing chicago is would there be an offroad program going on at the same time?

The 2007 MWS schedule will probably not come out until early next year.

A questioner about track preference and overall racing program for the 2007 season was sent to all MWS racers of whom I have an email address for. If you did not receive it please send me an email with your address. [email protected]

Top notch all the way. They hosted the Canadian Gas Nationals in 2006 and have been selected again for 2007
It should be on everyone's top 6!!

For guys coming from Central or the East side of OH, the track is about 1.5 hrs. from Buffalo, NY when crossing the Lewiston Bridge. From Toledo and MI I believe most guys cross at Windsor, but I'm not sure how far the track is from there.

The Hamilton Ontario track is approx. 3 hours from the Ambassador Bridge at Windsor/Detroit, and from I69/I94 at Port Huron Michigan it would be just a little over 2-1/2 hours to Hamilton from the Bluewater Bridge.
From the Lewiston N.Y. bridge it would be just under an hour to the track, and from the Mentor OH area I believe it would require around 4-1/2 hours to get to the track.
From Toledo OH it is a 4-1/2 hour drive, approx.
You will have NO difficulty coming to Canada with your RC gear. I've been racing in the U.S. and crossing the border from Ontario for nearly 15 years and have never had a problem. For U.S. racers, just registering your items with Homeland Security before coming to Canada is a wise thing to do so you get back home hassle free.
Great track. Great beer. Great donuts too!!

NO BUMP-UPS! Don't see how that could fit into the mws scoring system. Makes no sense in a point series... Great for single events.
