should a car move when at idle?

I just got my first car not to long ago, it's a Duratrax Street Force GP2. I have been trying to tune the carb but can't seem to get it right. I can get it to run well at speed but it runs really fast at idle, so fast that even with the brake on it still moves forward. When i pinch the fuel line to shut it off it speeds up for a few seconds like it says it should and if I turn the idle stop it shuts down and won't restart. Any sugestions on how to fix it?

no, it should not move at idle, thats why it is called "idle" :D

make sure the carb is open about 1mm, if that is makign it idle high, then close it a little bit more, make sure your lsn is not lean, and check he length of your linkage, maybe it needs adjustment, or your servo EPA's, good luck, hope that helps

Thanks apollo. I'll check all of the above, and reply with my findings. Thanks again.
