Novarossi Plus 12+3ct (Nitro % recommendation)

I have always ran 30% nitro but this new engine gives a manufacturer recommendation of 16% nitro. Should I run 20% in this engine? I am going to be racing @ my local track on the weekends. I really want to run 30% just because I have so much of it left. Should I run a head shim with the 30%?

:batman:

I shimmed up by adding .1mm shim.

whats up BT, i would add one just to be safe. did that 12 come with any extra shims?....this will also help it last. i will be honest though i ran 30 in all my on road motors and never even messed with shims. some do some dont. there is plenty to learn about that here on these forems.ya so good luck and pucker up ya thats right that motor is a freakin monnster. hay i asked someone about that motor once and they said to me that you would half to relearn you driving style, i don't know bout all that...but it is mean. goood luck, oh did you get a chance to check out the murnan modifieds thread yet :sneaky:

The engine comes with a .3mm shim I found out. Anyone know where I can get a .1mm shim for that engine? I have looked everywhere...
