It morely depends on the compound you choose. the softer, the faster it wears, but more traction. The harder, the slower it wears, but there won't be as much traction on tap. I prefere 24mm wheels and tires. They are lighter and give better throttle reasponse. If you set your car up correctly your car will handle better. This will not change the overall width of the car either.
