First Nitro Tourer
 

hey guys looking to get into nitro,
my local guys run mtx3/4 and few v-one rrr fare few fw-05t was looking for something i can run in side exhaust format and want it to be strong im not a great driver so i want a strong car.
i like the tm g4s 06 but no one round here run em which isnt a bother so maybe a mtx 3might be cheap now the mtx4's out can i have your opinion on the good and bad things about these cars??

Try searching for more if these dont answer the question for you. Like "best nitro touring car" and stuff like that. The real problem is though the question is kinda unanswerable as youll just find a lot of biased answers. Everyone thinks "their" kit is better. Like I always say , not everyone has tried every kit and if you have....you havent had much wheel time in all of them.

But if you keep your eyes open at your track and see whos doing well or if you know the driver is good youll see the same. Another true way is to just build one and drive it. If it sucks, sell it. Resale on a barely used kit should be alright.

Its fair to say the current carsmentioned and pretty competitive cars. Just get what you think is best or attracts you most. Instead of listening to someone else. Then you at least have what you wanted.

Also, look at what you LHS stocks parts for. It's no fun, if you keep having to wait a week or 2 for a $2 part. Maybe consider buying 1-2 used here, or on eBay, as a new car price, might allow 2 used cars.

From your original post, you said "side exhaust format"
If you mean side-exhaust engine, that's not a good spec to choose from. If you meant side-exhaust car, well, they all are. Mostly left, Ofna CD-3, Kyosho FW's are right-side exhaust.

Plus, you never mentioned what you wanted to do: Parking lot racing, groomed track racing, etc... It is very important.

I'll give you MY opinions, from personal use:

Kyosho FW-05T/R/RR - T is a nice starter, but it's REALLY basic. Parts will probably be hard to find, unless you're REALY lucky and have an LHS that likes Kyosho. I have an 05T, and 2 RR's, and I love 'em, but parts are a real b!tch.

Associated NTC3 - Nice option, available in a few levels, alot of aftermarket support, used chassis' available, pretty fast out of the box.

MTX3/MTX4/705/710/V1 - these are all race-spec cars, and if you are parking-lot bashing, they are not the best choice.
