Hi guys, can you put me in the ball park with setting up my clutch. Just wanting endplay and gap, also spring tension. Will run red shoe and super hard spring. VERY tight track and wanting good punch. Will run modded C5, 35 plus.....what venturi should I go with.

i recently tried the latest 3D clutch by Mugen for the 4X. I can't believe it, it is even better than the Serpent 960's one. I would suggest, do give it a try.
Even though i currently have more than 5 sets of the 4D withe Kawahara's lightweight flywheel, i will consider to move to 3D.

Thanks guys for the settings, wanting to dial my clutch in well, is there a big difference between the super hard and ultra hard, besides stiffness, what does a harder spring do for the clutch. I am assuming it bites more, engages a bit later. Bit like on and off? Not sure

To my understanding, the harder the spring the more RPMS need to build up in order for it to engage, its all about that extra load on the clutch shoe, so it makes it ideal for when powering out of the corners. with the new mugen X clutch i have heard also great reviews about it from the boys at my local track.

Serpent is the brand Central is the Model.

The Central body is a good body as well as the Parma R11 (www.parmapse.com). They are both great bodies, but the Parma is slightly cheaper and has cutouts for the Mugen 1/8th car (MRX4-R or X).

But either case, they are both good.

Whats the difference in weight of the light and normal central body? -I'm pretty new to eigth and predict a few crashes.

Most of the 1/8 RC cars are already light and don't need a light weight body. The light weight body does not hold up to racing (crashes) nearly as well as the standard weight. Get the Standard weight.
