Heat or Ream?

What does everyone do to free their suspension arms? How were your results?

I tried the blow dryer technique with negative results. The pin would get very hot slide through nice, but once cooled, the hinge was just as tight as before. The second method I used was a conventional RC reamer. Great results, but the reamer triangulates the hinge pin holes. Overall, very happy.

Hudy has launched a suitable reamer for suspension A-arms, just to remove the excess of flash that binds.

What we have done many (including me in the past) is to locate a metal drill bit of the suitable size (in many specialized stores have them in increments of 0.1mm), the key is to remove enough without being too much. Try to polish too the hinge pins with a soft abrassive (toothpaste sometimes is enough). Put them on the chuck of the drilling machine and polish them at slow-med speed.
