Replacing my stock clutch spring and going with the orion spring. Does anyone have settings they would recommend for the EVO car?

Thanks,

Brad

Few questions where are you guys getting this Sirio clutch or pics of it I am just interested about checking out.

Also where are you getting info on the release date for the evo2 in the US as Kyoshoamerica has nothing abut the car on there site. The main site shows the car already released. Anyone have any concrete non hear say answers on when.

I got my sirio power clutch directly from Kyosho America. My information regarding the date for the Evo 2 comes from the Kyosho team manager.

Im using the orion spring... Still using the same gap... .5mm for my SCT
As for the clutch tension... i tighten it until I see two threads on the nut... Then I use that as a starting point and test the car on the ground.

Hey guys... www.kyosho.com says that the new Evo 2 comes with the M3 2-speed system. Can I buy it from the M3 and fit it onto my Evo? Or are the spur gears different or does something that wont make it fit change?

Default 2speed

It comes with the 2speed shoes from the M3, an the ring on the inside of the second gear spur has the steel ring now instead of the aluminium. The shoes you can buy from Kyosho, they have the new spur gears in stock. With the steel ring.

The clutch bell and the flywheel are the same made by Capricorn. The differences are the clutch spring and also that you get different pieces in the clutch kit. That is all as Sam said Capricorn is making the pieces. Daniele has put the clutch together with what he uses in the races that he attends. So I can not see how you did not have good luck with the Sirio and no luck with the Capricorn. You did not test the IDM clutch did you. If you did what set up did you use? And if you did not have good luck there have been differences in the clutch material from one brand name to another. Maybe this was the case.

Flyweights was the issue Jerry on the capricorn clutch no issues with the Sirio.
I sent a message to capricorn back in December & they replaced the defective parts I still have the Capricorn Clutch I just don't use it since no other shoes work with it

Hey guys, Im having trouble with my 2nd gear stripping. Just wanted to know how you guys set your gear mesh. Do you guys set it to move completely free? Or a little tight in such case that you can hear a noise coming from the gears? Can someone post a pic of how close they set their gear please? Im really frustrated with this issue...
