From what I have seen and read, that radio is a JR XS3 prebuilt with the spektrum equipment. The difference is it is 2 channel and has 2.4ghz.
I use the JR XS3 and have plenty of features. It has all the trims and sub trims to get the servos adjusted as they need.
The people buying the modules typically have existing high dollar radios that they are very happy with and want the added conveinience of 2.4ghz. If you do not have an existing radio or the radio you have is not compatable with the modules, I would suspect this radio would be a good start and less expensive. Buying a spektrum compatable radio will start you at $250 - $300 then buying the moduel will run another $160+
The DX2 radio will cost about $170 the three channel radio is only $250. Either way you will have all you need to run 2.4ghz
