Default drag brake

hi guys,

I need you advice on drag braking. What are the advantages and disadvantages of drag braking? when do you know when you have enough drag brakes? what part of the track is most important to have it( sweeper)?where do you adjust it? Is it better to manipulate on your controller ( throttle and brake trim) or mix of both controller and manually on your car( silicone, springs, and collar)? I have a 3pk and it doesnt have the feature of drag braking, so i just use the abs feature, but I heard some pros and a main guys usually use drag brakes. I just want your input guys, ty ty

Serpent TQ's both Sedan and 1/8 scale at the 2008 Region 4 Championships this past weekend at the Homestead RC Raceway in Miami Fl. Serpent also takes the Sedan A main win and 2nd place and records the fastest laps in 1/8 scale.

Just got my Xceed 7.4 LiPo battery and Regulator. Does anyone have any pics of where they mounted their regulator and wires?

I run a gear diff on the rear and a ball diff on the front. The serpent manual says to use 30,000 diff oil. When I first put it together all I could find was 5,000 oil and I think its causing me handling problems
Q: I run on a smaller, tight track, should i go lighter or heavier with the diff oil?

if u r runing rear diff with diff oil that's too light will cause u to have a lot of tail out spin (sudden over steer), i've tried running 20,000 diff oil on very low grip track but that's the lowest i'll go, 30,000 diff oil can fit into most of the track conditions, if u get high grip track (sugar treatment), u can even try 40,000...

Thanks,
I do run on sugar treated asphalt, I didnt realize that would be considered high traction.
I havent had the chance to run anywhere else, I dont know any different.
I have 20, 30 and 40 thou serpent diff oils. I guess I will try the 30 thousand.
