With water? That doesn't sound like a good idea to me. Parts of the car will start to rust for sure...

At the end of a race day I clean my car with the air compressor at the track and with serpent's cleaning putty. When it's time for some more maintenance I remove the front and rear parts and the radio plate and clean it properly, again with the putty, and a towel...

Your car won't run any worse if it's a bit dirty, though for cooling it's a good idea to keep the engine clean...

Funny... I go there too... It's just way out of the way for me... The 720 looks nice... The car to watch out for is the new TC5 belt electric... Now that one you will see me with once it's released.

You know what you can also do after some time, when the plastic looks a bit "white/grey", spray some WD40, and immediately dry it with the air compressor....
Shiny new they will look afterwards......

Also, can anyone recomennd a good servo - something that lasts and doesn't break after 6months?

Thanks

Acid
The Futaba S9451 digital is fast, has lots of torque, and will last...I've had mine over a year. They cost about $80-$90.

Anyone getting the optional blade rear ARB. Maybe the team guys can tell us the benefits of this bar over the kit rear ARB.

B4, don't bother with the blade ARB yet, try it stock first, you probably find you won't need it ... see my quick and dirty test report here.

Thumbs up

My 720 made its first test runs too yesterday, and it seems a pretty nice car. The default set-up works nicely for me at MACH Heemstede and I'm about a second faster per lap (which doesn't say that much, because my driving isn't all that great ). And I've got a slow engine; still waitling for a nicer engine to arrive... I'm currently doubting between a Mega ZX or a JP FX12 stock. Any recommendations?

JP has a much better rod unless the new Mega motors have fixed it. I would go with the JP anyways. Another option is to go with the Novarossi 12+3

I've heard of con rod issues with Mega as well. Haven't they been fixed?

Owning both a JP FX12-T03 and FX12-T05 with ceramic bearings I have to say I'm heavily biased toward JP. The 3-port has been absolutely a solid engine. No problem with the 5 port either it's just that more races in my area have been restricted to 3-ports so that's what I've been using. Gone head to head with other 5 ports and have turned in identical number of laps and even set my best lap record with a 3 port.

Prices too high in your area? Try http://www.rc-mushroom.com/ Great prices and service.
