My choice???? I'll take the Serpent 720...wait, I did!!
Like the others said, they are all good cars. I picked the 720 because of the parts availability and being familiar with the company. I/we all run our cars against the likes of Mugen, Kyosho, Team Magic every time we race. I have taken hits that would have broken up the other brands and my S720 kept on fighting. I know we have the superior car!

They are all good cars, hard to compare them.
I chose Serpent because after sales service is superb here in Hungary for Serpent, much better than others'.
Buy the one which provides the best support, parts availability, etc. for you at your location.

Thanks.

Since this is your first message, the bigger question is,is this your first nitro car,and the first time you are going racing?..

No, this won't be my first nitro car. But for races, I don't have a lot experience.

then I would stick to what the others guys are racing and their willingness to help you....Racing is a BIG leap if you take it seriously, and having someone with knowledge racing the same car as you can be a big help....

that being said,if I wasn't racing a R40,I'd run a 720,,,,(and still might)

Yes, I agree with you. Thanks for your help. I will be focusing on 720 then. But MTX4-R and V-One RRR Evo. WC Edition are tempting too.

I like the fact that Serpent specified under what conditions this chassis would be the most beneficial. Very smart of them.

That is the flexi chassis. It has the carbon fiber front insert. It's out now. I've seen it at the track. The guys that are running it say its ok.

The one that you saw is the USA prototype version part #SUS803191 that was released last February it is similar, but the new release which has a part #803199 has more holes and more detailed milling to it.

actually, everyone is a little right and wrong...it looks like they are two different chassis's that look the same but do different jobs...

both chassis's are listed on serpents web site......

Chassis Plate 720 SPP Carbon (#803191)

Newly available for the Serpent 720 is this SPP chassis plate with carbon plate insert. This great looking chassis plate is machined from 4mm high-grade aluminium and, due to its design, flexes more than the original version that comes with the 720 kits. A softer chassis improves grip in the corners and it can be made even softer by removing the 4 screws in the carbon plate in the front. Simple, effective and stylish.

Chassis 4mm 720 LCG (#803199)

New for the Serpent 720 is this new optional chassis plate which has been heavily milled on the topside to enable the whole car to sit lower, allowing for a lower centre of gravity while, through the addition of extra holes, the chassis plate is now extremely light. This chassis will be perfect for those racers looking for that extra cornering advantage in higher grip conditions and to allow your chassis to be made stiffer, the front of the chassis has space to mount the optional carbon stiffener plate, which will be sold separately

Harry: you are rigth. We are oignto have 3 chassis for the 720. The std (silver and black, basically the same, just looks, SPP (front big hole and different design to allow more flex), SPP LCG to allow even more flex

Sam: This is the factory version of the few samples Serpent USA made in February for the Wnats. The SPP version is going to be the only one commercially available.

As Andrew said, this chassis, togheter with other new products, are going to be available to ship to dealers from next Tuesday. Check www.serpent-usa.com and www.serpent.com for the latest news

Rainer: The 720 info is ready. Expect e-mail on Monday

More goodies on the way: New products are coming out in the next few weeks: brass batterie trays for 960 and 720, front brass plate for 720 (fits SPP and SPP LGC), rulon clutch shoes (red ones for both cars), Front and rear softer blades for the sway bars, lithium batteries for both cars (fit std and brass batt trays) and much more!!!!
