on the back of the transmitter, there is a module - the transmitter crystal is in there.
Basically, you'll need to first remove the module - it's 'snapped' into place. Be careful here - there are several, fragile 'pins' that could be damaged if your not gentle.
You need to remove the case half (of the module) to access the crystal. There are four, small phillips screws. Once you have the module open, there is a small, black 'access window' that you can easily remove - it's essentially a decal. Once you remove this 'window', you can swap crystals super easy (no removal or disassembly of the module). It might be a good idea to cover this area with a small piece of electrical tape to keep debris out.
Once you reassemble the module, again be careful when reinstalling it onto the transmitter. Align the pins and gently snap in into place.
It's a 2 minute deal.
