After run Oil.
Wahturi;
I wouldn't just use regular (Automobile) Motor oil. It may gum up the inside of the engine over time. Marvel Mystery Oil is the same thing as the Prather after run oil. I've been using it for 3-1/2 years now and my motors are always spotless inside. Marvel won't gum the inside of your engine up either. Found this out when using Air Tools.

A little bit of Microlon each time won't hurt, either.

by the way, WD40 is corrosive to metal. I have no idea what is the effect of mixing WD40 with engine oil.

Home Brew after-runoils
Guy's;
If YOU can think of it, then so has somebody else. If Home brew after-run oil was the way to go then we would ALL know about it.
Stick with the Marvel Mystery oil of any of the Hobby brands of after run oils. Most other types of Automotive oils will gum up the insides of your engines. ALSO don't add Marvel to the Fuel. It will make your engine run MUCH hotter. (tried it long ago)

I just use ATF,(Automatic Tranny Fluid), sometimes I add alittle Marvel oil to it, if I have it. I think the boat guys has used ATF for years with super results.

Yes, I was saying the same thing to. I use WD40 on the door to stop sqeaking, and notice some rust on it. WD40 also smell bad and atracts a lot of dirt/dust. On the safe side, stick to marvel or Prather after run oil.

Companys use compounds inside RC engines, to build up runners for cranks, timing and stuff? I have worked with nitro and alky for years and I am a engine rebuilder by trade. I have never seen anything, compound wise that will hold up to alky, or nitro. I have never seen any compounds used in Rody RB mods or Richey power. It will sooner or later break down or come apart. WD 40 seems like it draws moisture or something, if you use WD 40 in rc engines the crankshaft will rust up over night.
