Just won off ebay a Serpent 705, and it comes with .12 motors, the only thing is my club uses .21 motors

What motor is the best for the Serpent?? at a decent price?

Plus is there anything else I should know about the car?

I dont think you will be able to get a .21to fit in there, thie 705 is a 1/10th scale touring car and wont hold a big block motor like a .21. If every one at your club is using .21 they are probably running 1/8th scale. However most club level stuff is usually 1/10th scale and they are probably only running .12 sized motors.

Well Tim, You should know that you just bought a touring car that is made to run .12 motors not .21's. The car is also two generations old, Serpent is coming out with the 720 very soon. Good luck with the car

.12 Cubic inch displacement engines are also 2.1 cubic centimeter displacement engines. Are you confusing CI with CC?

yeah, with the popular of the touring car, I doubt there is a club in this world would only allow running 1/8th 21 on-road but not touring car....and 21 engine are easily $400 just for the engine alone...I bet your 705 with engine is less then $250 thru ebay.

If your friend at the track are all running the touring car...then your engine is the correct one, you rarely see ppl running 21 engine on a touring car except basher/drag racer on the driveway
