I am thinking of getting a mod 35 plus 21 for racing in March. I know JP's is not out yet. Have you guys tried Jim's or Murnan ones yet?

I did't run the motor, but I heard that Jim's motor is working really good.

It's been a while since I have tried their motors. I remembered the picco days (when I first started out) Ron and Jim are alrdy producing fast and reliable motors and I was still running the pork chop bend in LV! Where can I order them on line?

Nitrohouse does have some hotmod engines. Try them. Don't be afraid to send them an email or call them if it is not on their website. Jim just went to Europe for a few weeks so if they don't have one it might take some time to get one, but be patient. Don't get impulsive and settle.

We have plenty of good races this year. The pork chop lives!!! (After the Spring race of course)

i think the hotmods are mine sucked waste of 550. My personal opinion is you don't need a mod motor the stock ones are just as fast and $200 cheaper

I have/had engines by Rody, Murnan, Hotmod and JP and the Hotmods have been the best for me.

.21 there is no real difference you just run out of fuel quicker. I have one of the older smaller block .21's that would probaly blow away any modified motor to date and it cost me $188. In .12's I think that modified motors help

The reason I ask this question is becuase I usually will buy 4-5 engines for one racing season and it is now shopping time. I used to run NR and have pretty good results with them. It seems for the past few years NR engines and its deritives (JP, RB, MAX etc) quality is getting quite inconsistent. We have guys with 10 years + experience (including myself) will have broken crank, sleeve breakage, piston breakage etc. Something that shud not have happened. I have moved away from NR for last season and stayed with Sirio which is a very good engine (not very popular in the US) and will stay for the time being. Meanwhile I have talked to the guys who raced WC last year and they have good comments on this engine, may be NR is back on track and I will try one since they are still the big brother of 21 engines. With Ninja/GRP and new Sirio models I think this year's engine war will be getting hotter than ever.

well there is but can you get what it is that the engine is mod for ? a fine tuned stock engine out the box is fast properly tuned and car set up to handle the power.some times you can go faster with and out of box engine then a mod motor . because you get the power to the ground and not just spinning tires. and your lap time mite be lower when doing this . my 2 cents
