They also seem to take the heat better than the standard bearings did, as when you melt down the aluminum clutch shoes and bearings still feel good, yep plus 2

The TKO's are radial thrust bearings if I recall correctly. The bearing race has a deeper groove in it I believe, and they handle both the radial and axial loads. Standard bearings will only tolerate the radial... or axial... Not sure but they won't hold up to both and a clutch bearing needs to be able to handle both types of loads.

I've used the J&T ultimate bearings and they're better than standard ones for sure but never have ran them as long as the TKO. That said they I haven't had them fail I just have not built up my confidence in them to the level I have with TKO. They may be just as good or better.

TKO special clutch bearings. As stated above they are made to handle the forces the clutch puts on them. Just make sure you install them correctly. They have a blue seal on one side those need to face each other once installed.
Inside bearing blue seal faces out
Outter bearing blue seal faces in

Clean with Lube use other 1 gal after 1 gal. And I have 2 tubes for 2 years now. If you clean your motor and check your clutches after each race weekend you will get many gals out of the TKO bearings.

The J/T seems cool, but just 2 weeks a go. I seen the dude that is good driver blow them.

I blew the J/t clutch bearings.. First the inner one on one race day..about a quart of fuel replaced. next race day outer bearing blew about a quart of fuel. replaced. Went 3 quarts of fuel and checked bearings inner bearing destroyed... outer still good. Trying the TKO bearings now. First race day this past weekend. Going to take her apart and check. On another note. J/T other bearings have been really good.

I don't know. Just checked again. Blew the inner bearing. outer bearing is gritty. I am going to try to shim it differently and see if that helps

I've had two sets of TKO and both of them lasted less than a weekend of bashing. And I tried the Acer's special clutch bearings also. Maybe it was my poor clutch bell shimming settings at that time, I don't know exactly. But since I start using proper bearings I've had zero issues. My advice? Buy only brand bearings, for example I'm using EZO made in Japan, same set for more than a year and they show no signs of wear. My 2 cents.
