What option parts should I consider buying with a new kit?
None are required but we recommend the following:

Aluminum Servo Horn:

-TKR5251B (23T)
-TKR5252B (24T)
-TKR5253B (25T)

TiNi Shock Shafts

-TKR6017T (front)
-TKR6061T (Rear)

This car is very durable. Here are the spare parts that we recommend you keep on hand:

Tekno RC Instructional YouTube Video Playlist

Warranty Policy:
Tekno RC is the only company in the industry that will give 50% off of parts if returned to them using the General Warranty return policy found on our website. The parts can be lightly used or completely abused, as long as the part is still being produced it's covered!

Piston Drills:
Some of our setups recommend using pistons that are enlarged. For instance 4x1.9 or 3x2.0. To drill the pistons we recommend the following:
GMK Supply Piston Drill Set
16PC Metric Bit Set Metric Sizes 2.00 to 3.00 MM.

Setup Sheets:
Setup sheets for all of our vehicles can be found here.

What is overdrive and when should I use it?

The NB48.4 comes stock with a 12t pinion (TKR8152) and the 39t ring (TKR8151) in both the front and rear and the EB48.4 has a 12t pinion (TKR8152B) and the 40t ring (TKR8151B) in both the front and rear.

The two sets of gears are used to overdrive the front of the EBs or underdrive the rear of the NBs. If you have both vehicles and want to try underdrive it's as easy as swapping the front diff and pinion of the EB and the rear diff and pinion of the NB. Underdrive helps on very loose tracks, when you need more on power steering or if the rear of the car feels loose.

Better yet, replace an external filter wrap like you're getting paid and keep the internal like you're on a budget

Vet Wrap. Put a single wrap lightly around the outside of the filter and it will increase the life expectancy of the internal filter 5-10x for pennies on the dollar.

Thanks. Are you using just the internal filter with the vet wrap around it? Or are you using the external filter as well and putting the vet wrap around it? Thanks for the help.

It applies for all filters in nitro. Just do an extra wrap of the material around whatever you're currently using to extend the lifespan quite a bit.

We uploaded a couple new setups from Joe for the NB48.4. One for smooth track and another for rough.

This is for the local racers, the guys that spend there hard earned cash, please answer as best you can, with NO WEBBING on arms etc, on usa tracks, which are mostly ruff, unless a event, or world class track, where most only race on a few times a year if lucky. without having any webbing in arms etc, how does it handle the flex, when needed, I mean its not carpet there flying on? thanks. also I raced just about every high end car out there, 1/8 on and off road, what buggy would you guys says it closely has the handling characteristics too? they caught my eye at a 4wd sct electric class, I like the build, everything, thanks alot

I'll be picking one up here in a few months. I've been lurking. I went from wanting a 8ight-T 4.0 to this. I feel like there isn't enough Truggy people out there anymore so I'd rather not be stuck in a dead class. Anyone run a b2102 yet? I'm curious about high temp issues. I've never raced but have been into nitro for years so I'm looking to start this summer.

Build:

OS b2102 or speed III
Highest DT2100 X2 SSR installed
Sanwa M12S system
Protek bump box
Hotshot 2 5k mAh igniter
Proline holeshots pre mounted

I'll be building one here shortly. I'm waiting until summer time to get it. I was going to build a 8ight-T but it seems like the Truggy class is dying. Below will be my build, I'm also waiting for all the tekno tools to come in stock. If I buy early it will just be the buggy and tools to assemble and have ready to slap in parts. Anyone know about temp issues with the OS b2102, or have a good video of one running? Below is my build.

48.4 NB
OS B2102 or Spec III
Highest DT2100 x 2 SSR installed
Sanwa m12S system
Hotshot 2 glow
Protek bump box?( Anyone have a newer style box that doesn't require modding??)
